About Kid Founder
Kid Founder started at a kitchen table in Fort Worth, Texas. Two daughters, one workbook, and a question their dad couldn't shake: what if kids actually got taught how to build?
The story
Kid Founder started from a simple belief:
Kids are capable of far more than most people give them credit for.
Too often, kids get taught how to memorize information and follow instructions, but they rarely get taught how to think creatively, solve a real problem, communicate a real idea, or build something from scratch.
Entrepreneurship teaches all of those things — and it teaches them in a way that sticks, because a kid either landed a real customer or they didn't.

The two who started it
Even after twenty years of building companies, Jamey wasn't teaching his own two daughters this well. He'd cheer on a lemonade stand and call it parenting — but he didn't have the thing that would actually walk a kid through the whole arc, idea to dollars. So he built it. They're the reason Kid Founder exists, and the first real run-through with them starts this summer.
The founder
Jamey Ice grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and started his first real thing — a band — when he was fifteen. Since then he's started a lot of things: a few real estate companies, a coffee shop, a marketing studio, a couple of restaurants. A few he sold. A few he's still running. Some worked, some didn't, and he learned the most from the ones that didn't.
He wrote this book for two reasons. The first: nobody handed him anything like it when he was nine, and he spent years figuring out on his own what these pages teach in one semester. The second is sitting across the kitchen table from him — his daughters, Rosie and Justice, the same Rosie and JJ you meet all through this book. They're why it exists — and the reason he wrote down every page he wished he'd had at nine.

Most kids learn to walk away from a problem. We teach them to walk into it — sketch it, name the customer, try the first thing, then the second thing.

Confidence isn't taught. It's shipped. One small sale, one real customer, and a kid sees themselves differently for the rest of their life.

What we believe
Watch a kid sit through a lecture. Now watch one selling lemonade. The second one is using everything — math, language, social skills, judgment — at once.
Telling a kid they're capable doesn't make them feel it. Putting cash from a real customer in their hand does.
